News and Updates
Welcome to Golden Sun Realm, a fan site dedicated to the "Golden Sun" series!
A big reason for us making RPGs comes from the requests from all the people who have enjoyed our RPGs in the past. Perhaps if there are enough Nintendo users asking for another game in the Golden Sun series, then this will naturally lead to the development of such a game.
Don't expect a rush job, though: Takahashi has asked for "a bit of time":
Speaking personally from the perspective of the story, I think that honestly it may not be so likely because Golden Sun really requires a full effort to be put in. But of course, if there are enough people saying that we really must create another game, then we may just have to listen to them. Still, you would need to give me a bit of time to work on ideas for the story before we could release a fourth game in the series.
Golden Sun fans, this is your chance.
Congratulations on your 10th anniversary, Golden Sun! - In North America!
Golden Sun was released in Japan on August 1, 2001. It was released in North America on November 12, 2001, which is considered to be a more relevant date for the English speakers. (We initially thought it was officially released on November 11th, but an old official Nintendo page listed it as the 12th)
Once again we have a bunch of fan art to show! Thanks for your contribution to our 10th Anniversary gallery!

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary, Golden Sun!
Although it's August 2nd in Japan and in other places already, it's still the 1st in the rest of the West!
(But what really happened is there were some difficulties in getting the pics rounded together, I apologize for my tardiness! )
Thanks to you fans, I'm able to display your support right here right now. I'll be sending Camelot an email too, so maybe they'll come and take a look!
I'm told there are even more submissions around the corner from more fans, so please continue to submit if you can. Please refer to the previous news post for the details.

Comment: "You must press onward, for the sake of Weyard. Hee hee. Additionally, there is a hidden link within the animation somewhere. Although, even were you to find it, 'twould not be entirely rewarding. That said, you're not missing much by missing it. There are other, more obvious ones, but those aren't the ones you're looking for. :> Regardless, enjoy!~"

Comment: "WOW, Has it really been 10 years?! I still remember my first steps into the world of Weyard. And I still glow with accomplishment everytime I tell someone about my 300 hours on Golden Sun: The Lost Age. And then I nearly had a heart attack when they first announced Dark Dawn (then Golden Sun DS). Congrats Golden Sun and Camelot. Here are my pictures, Felix and Piers in Gaia Online style."

Comment: "To the original makers of Golden Sun; Thankyou, for the hours of enjoyment, the story that never grows old or stale, the world that is always invigorating and interesting, and the characters that we have such fondness for. The love of the colours and vibrancy of not only the landscapes, sprites and overall art, but the characters personalities as well, has never lessened. If there is ever a game that I hope will never break or deplete, it is Golden Sun, the game I've enjoyed for years and will continue to enjoy in years to come.
I hope that the same enjoyment and love can be found in the most recent Golden Sun game, Dark Dawn, and any future Golden Sun games."

Submissions, if there are any, will be showcased on the front page on August 1st and later archived in a separate page on the website. Submissions a bit past the date are no problem. The only real deadline is the end of 2011!
Please send what you've got to email@example.com
- Not limited to drawings; even stuff like photos of figures/montages or music melodies meant for the occasion are good
- Please keep the media PG-13
- A celebratory message would be nice but not required! No language restrictions.
- No limitations on the quantity you send, but there should be some effort put into it
- It goes without saying that it should be GS-related and your own work
Don't forget to include information you would find important, such as a preferred name to be credited as, a name you gave for the submitted piece, or any other special requests. To protect you from spam, we won't post email addresses, but feel free to give a link to your homepage. Don't hesitate to ask questions via comments or the above email address.
I apologize I don't have any cool Golden Sun collectibles to give back in return! But I truly hope you'll participate, since who knows when or if Camelot does a fourth game...? Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope this will be successful. Let's go all out like it's our last hurrah!
Are you watching it in about 10-15 minutes? As I mentioned in the last 24 hours, I will be edit-happy with this post if there's something GS-related that pops up. If there isn't anything, I guess it will be a rest period for GS fans, hopefully not as long as the wait between TLA and DD!
And if you'd like the E3 links again, here they are (plus a few more):
No Golden Sun in this presentation, it seems!
But this time we're not really certain there will be anything in the Golden Sun area this year. We'll be excited about all the other good stuff Nintendo shows us anyway! Wouldn't it be nice though? It's Golden Sun's 10th Anniversary this year... right, Nintendo? Camelot?
There will be a news post ready for tomorrow, constantly updated as the stream goes live. There's probably going to be a bunch of chatter in either the forums or the chatrooms (one version accessible under The Realm on the left side), so take your pick if you would like to join us. I'll most likely be chatting in the latter. Fingers crossed for some news!
Catch the event live on June 7th at 9 a.m. PDT! Even if you miss the event, you can still watch replays of the conference.

While there can only be 10 winners, I encouraged everyone to submit if they could until the very end -- We gotta show Nintendo we're all interested in this! And with that we've received an overwhelming response!

Our deepest thanks goes to Camelot for putting their energy into this game, and to Nintendo for localizing it so soon after its release. Thanks to the community for staying alive and showing your continuing support for the franchise, because it is the fans around the world which allowed it to happen.
